How Do Interest Rates For VA Loans Compare To Rates For FHA Loans?

By Eric Goodwill

The truth of the matter is that the VA system is in fact something we can be proud of, at least once a person is actually able to obtain a VA loan. The process of getting the VA loan in the beginning can be tough. The FHA tends to have bureaucracy and incompetent people working for their FHA loan system. The bureaucracy and the country as a whole tends to have more respect for the veterans out there. Some people do not like the hectic nature of the VA hospitals, but the VA housing loan system is good.

Veterans Exemptions

There are things in the new GI bill which makes it easier for young veterans to be able to get an FHA loan. You can get military exemptions on your property taxes for example. In some cities in the Midwest, the exemption for property taxes can tend to be up to eight hundred dollars a year. The fact that people can get this kind of benefit does show that the county everywhere in the country does care somewhat about veterans, maybe not as much as much as we should in many ways. If veterans risk their life, the least we can do is to give them a tax exemption.

Union Benefits

You can also get FHA exemptions in a certain situations where you think you can end up gaining an advantage by being a union member. A former union member that you use to work with may now work for the Federal Housing Administration. The people who work at the Federal Housing Administration really can know what they are talking about and they can show some major compassion for people who happen to be a part of the working class.
